We are taking part in Aus Art Day, Creative Australia's annual day of giving to the arts. With $2500 in matched funding and a sweet tax deduction from the Australian Cultural Fund there's never been a better time to support Homophonic!
Where does my donation go?
Great question! As a small independent arts collective, every single dollar goes directly to artists, composers, musicians, and putting on the show we all love so much. Artist fees, commissioning composers, stage team, documentation, and marketing. As well as some snacks to keep us going between rehearsals!
In 2027 we are heading to a new home at Gasworks, and we are thrilled to be presenting 4 world premieres specifically commissioned for this show from Australian LGBTIQ+ composers and poets. Featuring string quintet, Percussionist Niki Johnson, and Melbourne's premiere vocal ensemble- The Consort of Melbourne.
