Homophonic!'s flagship event is crossing the river and heading southside to the amazing, iconic, and very queer Theatre Works St Kilda.
Homophonic! is bringing the Disco Ball to the Concert Hall for it's 15th trailblazing year.
Featuring the winning work of the 2025 Midsumma Presents: The Homophonic! Pride Prize By Ashleigh Hazel written for Jacob Abela, a new quintet by Aaron Wyatt, music for voices and strings inspired by the life of a very gay community organiser in Cygnet, Tasmania by Quinn Thompson, and music by the enigmatic American composer Julius Eastman alongside more than a few musical surprises across the centuries.
Come to experience the soundworld of queer composers today, creating a lineage from the trailblazing LGBTIQ+ composers from the 1700's through to today's bright musical future.
